Our Story

At Mission Bay For Over 20 Years

Mission Bay Cafe has been in the hub of the bay for more than two decades, a cafe and eatery open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, built around fresh New Zealand produce and a beautiful, relaxed waterfront setting just 8 minutes from the CBD.

Our team is like a family, many key staff have been with us for five years or more, and our loyal local suppliers keep the meat, veggies and dry goods fresh. Toasted Espresso has roasted our coffee for the past ten years, and it's a real favourite.

Mission Bay Restaurant

After 4pm, the kitchen shifts gear for a relaxed dinner by the bay.

Start with small plates made for sharing, grilled garlic bread, Mediterranean dips and Turkish pide, Wagyu meatballs, cured salmon, and our much-loved Korean fried chicken.

Then settle into the mains, seafood chowder, a rib eye cooked just right, or the vegan Buddha bowl, and finish with apple & rhubarb crumble, crème brûlée or a molten chocolate pud.
